A LIE THEY ALL CALL FREEDOM:

© 1981 by Lydia Glider-Shelley
We the people once were free,
As all are supposed to be.
Once again, the power craze
Has burned the free lie purple haze.
No minority has seen
The kind of change that here has been.
Not just one group, one and all:
Everyone has made the fall.
Now, no people, anywhere,
Can really say that they don’t care.
All of us securely bound
By the law our lead set down.
Realize America: We are free no more!
There’s a law for everything,
And I can say for sure:
No longer a democracy,
Forced to be a “society”!
Why the hell must I be me…
In the ruined plan of a beautiful place,
America’s lost her lovely face:
To trap the whole damned human race,
In a lie they all call freedom.
