Well landlords, man, they give me the blues!
So sit right down and I’ll tell you the news:

bout them landlord blues.
When the rent’s on time, it’s not so bad,
But when I’m late, he’s awful mad!
He comes over, he’ll scream and shout!
Landlord blues is what it’s all about.
The landlord wants to tell me how to act…
It’s a gosh darn shame now that’s a fact!
He watches who comes in and out my door:
